One of the best decisions I ever made was stealing my mom's waffle maker. Not only have I gotten a LOT of use out of it, but has she never complained in the entire year that I've had it (I'm not sure if she has even noticed!).
I used to make waffles so I could reheat them for breakfast in the mornings, but that's no longer the case. Since I literally eat a bowl of oatmeal every morning, I now save waffles for lunch and dinner. (Yes, I'm one of those people that regularly eats breakfast for dinner.)
I used to experiment with different recipes, but then I found one that simply blew the others out of the water. It's cheap, easy, and vegan, and I've had success with it every single time I've made it! My favorite part is that it makes my apartment smell like banana bread. Happiness!

The recipe consists mostly of oats and bananas, with a few other ingredients to add more flavor. I've played with the recipe each time I've made it, adding more cinnamon or even chocolate chips. However, I love the basic recipe as is (but I use less sugar, or sometimes I replace the sugar with blackstrap molasses!). Here is a link to the recipe. Make them! Now!

These turned out amazing, especially for a first-time waffle maker haha. I think I'll "chocolify" them by adding in some cocoa powder next time...
