Top 5 Recipes for Chocolate Lovers!

 Every single day - and I'm not exaggerating - I stare longingly at the jar of chocolate chips in my cupboard as I'm making my oatmeal. Most mornings, I talk myself out of it. "Save them for a weekend treat," I tell myself. "Control yourself!"

Chocolate makes everything better. I've loved almost every single porridge I've ever made with chocolate. I typically use one of two methods: mixing it cocoa powder, or topping with chocolate chips. The first option is slightly healthier and makes it feel like you're eating brownie batter, but eating chocolate chips automatically makes me feel nostalgic for childhood treats (like chocolate chip cookies!).

No matter what kind of chocolate you're using, here are my top five favorite oatmeal recipes when I'm craving the cocoa!

This recipe is unique in that it gets its chocolate flavor Silk Dark Chocolate
Almond Milk. It's super easy and very flavorful!

I don't know any chocolate lover who doesn't love chocolate chip cookies...

JUST GIMME THE CHOCO-PB COMBO. It's never wrong. Never.

It's Girl Scout Cookie season! Do yourself a favor and eat this instead.

(You might be wondering where the Salted Brownie Baked Oatmeal recipe is... Well, to tell the truth, it's not even close to my favorite! I'm so disappointed that it's my #1 recipe because I think I have so many better recipes!)

  1. they all look so delicious!! i've tried the peanut butter - banana combo and that is to die for! quick question, could you explain why you said the cocoa is slightly healthier? i thought it was a lot healthier, with just about 10 calories per Tbsp? i don't mean to be snarky, i just want to make sure i'm not eating something that's less healthy than i thought it was! (;

    1. Low in calories doesn't automatically mean healthy. If you buy good quality, dark chocolate chips they're actually not all that bad. A handful of chocolate chips isn't unhealthy. :)

    2. Ditto what "Anonymous" said. It depends on the quality of ingredients used. There are some really crummy chocolate chips out there!
